VENTURE INVESTMENTS,

Debtor

Case No. A94-00228-HAR
Chapter 11

ORDER REQUIRING PARTNERSHIP DEBTOR TO APPEAR THROUGH ATTORNEY

The debtor is a partnership, and filed a petition on April 1, 1994, signed by one of the partners. The partner, Debra Pickworth, indicated that there was no attorney. In In re America West Airlines, Inc., ______ BR _____, 1994 WL 74341 (9th Cir BAP 02/04/94), the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel ruled that a partnership must appear in a bankruptcy proceeding through an attorney. The case appears to prime Alaska Local Bankruptcy Rule 9(c)(2) which implies a partnership petition can be filed without the use of an attorney Therefore,

IT IS ORDERED that, unless an attorney authorized to practice before this court appears for debtor by Monday, April 18, 1994, this court will dismiss this case without prejudice.

    DATED: April 4, 1994
